ROYCO® 1MS ANTI-SEIZE THREAD COMPOUND
ROYCO 1MS is a, blend of lubrication grade, micro-fine powdered, molybdenum disulfide that conforms to SAE-AMS-M7866, and technical grade petrolatum conforming to VV-P-236. This anti-seize compound is non-abrasive, highly shear stable, and has a relatively low volatility compared to other thread compounds.
Applications :
ROYCO 1MS is particularly suitable for use on aircraft engine spark plugs, threaded fasteners and fittings at temperatures below 427°C (800F). At higher temperatures, ROYCO 44 conforming to SAE AMS-2518 should be used in lieu of ROYCO 1MS. Since this material is an electrical conductor, it is especially suited for anti-seize applications where the thread compound will not impede electrical flow.
